Lorena Perez is a telecommunications engineer and business management graduated with honours from the University of Malaga. She started her career as a researcher in optical communications and radiofrequency. Last year she received the WONNOW award from Microsoft and Caixabank that recognises the academic excellence of women in STEM careers. Thanks to this, she was able to start her career as a data scientist in the artificial intelligence department at Caixabank. She is currently working for the German Aerospace Centre (DLR) in Munich, Germany, where she develops artificial intelligence systems applied to pedestrian navigation.

Oana Ples Master degree in Image Processing and Bioinformatics from the Politehnica of Bucarest, Romania, Master thesis at the Institut for Neuro and Bioinformaticis in Lubeck, Germany and Bachelor degree in electronics and telecommunications from the Politehnica of Bucarest, Romania. After professional experience as software developer, she is currently IT and mathematics teacher at the school Emil-Possehl of Lubeck, Germany. Oana is mother of a one year-old daughter..
